Fricke Progresses in SGP Qualifying

Belle Vue's Max Fricke finished in second place in today's Speedway Grand Prix Qualifier in Lonigo, Italy and  will go through to the semi-finals.

Craig Cook scored 5 points which unfortunately wasn't enough for him to progress.

March 19th 2016 may appear to be a long way away, but the grand opening meeting of the National Speedway Stadium has already sent shockwaves throughout the worldwide speedway community.

Over 1500 tickets, in both the grandstand and on the terraces, were snapped up within 24 hours of their going on general sale.

Aces Plunder Points from Pirates

Belle Vue followed up their emphatic win over King's Lynn on Monday with a superb 45-45 draw against the Poole Pirates at their Wimborne Road home last night.

The visitors took control of the evening from the moment the tapes went up but the Readypower Pirates made sure to keep their opponents honest with a closely contested bout.

British No.2 Craig Cook says he “couldn’t believe” the incredible 52-38 margin by which Belle Vue claimed victory over the King’s Lynn Stars on Monday evening.

The 27-year old Edinburgh captain rode the race of his life live on Sky Sports, putting on a dominant performance that made him more than worthy of the top-scorer’s mantle.

Belle Vue pulled no punches in their 52-38 annihilation of King’s Lynn on Monday night and sent a clear message to their rivals that they are not a team to be underestimated.

The nation was riveted to their TV screens as the Rentruck Aces claimed one heat advantage after another, slowly tearing apart the Stars' defensive one race at a time.

The Peter Craven Memorial Trophy makes a triumphant return to the club’s fixture list with some of the sport’s biggest names scheduled to star in the flagship event.
