Friday 2nd April - Belle Vue vs Wolverhampton - See more entries...

Well what a week leading up to our first meeting that was! We won at Sheffield at the War of the Roses  after Gremlins decided to take vengeance on most of the team,  just over 24 hours later James lifted the Scottish open title.

William also showed his potential on the track by getting into the semi finals at the Scottish open but having to pull out of the meeting due to being injured hopefully he is fully recovered now? Follow James success in the Scottish open, skipper Hans added to the aces extended trophy cabinet by rightfully winning the Brandonapolis at Coventry. Hopefully this will be the start of what could be potentially a successful season for us both as a team and individuals?

As most of the girls are not well known, we all thought that it would be good to start off the season by giving ourselves a little bit of an introduction?

Miss Red is Cat McEuan. Began her career as a start girl aged 17 in 2004 at Workington. During this time she appeared several times at Belle Vue with the Workington girls after being invited by Ian Thomas in 2005. She then began at Belle Vue full time in 2006 after starting University in Salford and has continued this year after graduating her studies. Cat is that she has spent 3 years in the royal navy reserves whilst at Uni and has flew various fixed wing aircrafts.

Miss Blue is Danni Mannion. Danni started to start girl in 2006 for the aces before having a short break last season to have her little baby boy Jamie in the summer, she is currently studying sports therapy at collage and lives in the Manchester area with her son and parents. Danni has a level 3 NVQ in Beauty therapy

Miss White is Karen Roughley. Karen was recruited to the girls in 2009 to replace Nikki after she decided to retire to spend more time on her studies. Karen is like Danni from the Manchester area and works part time as a model. Karen in her childhood days attended Belle Vue with her family but moved to another area of Manchester. A fact that you may not know about Karen is that she has a pet tortoise called Stretch Englebert.

Miss Yellow is Frankie Hearty. Frankie travels each week with her family to Kirkmanshulme lane from Blackpool. Frankie like Karen was recruited last year into the new line up to replace Nicole Booth, Frankie is currently at college mid week studying media makeup. A fact that you may not know about Frankie that her dad rode speedway for a short time.

The official reserve for the girls is Adele Rodgers, who like Cat is one of Belle Vue’s original 2004 start girls. She lives in Workington and is Miss White at Derwent Park on race nights. A fact that you may not know about Adele is that she is an extra in the Homebase advert currently showing on TV.

Hope that has gave you a bit more into who we are and we will see you all again next week after we have showed the wolves that we are back on track.

Lots of love

Cat, Danni, Karen and Frankie (The Brolly Dollies)
