BRITISH Speedway bosses have moved to assure worried Belle Vue fans everything is still in place for the Aces to race in the 2017 SGB Premiership.
New promoters are ready to invest in the club and they have been approved by Manchester City Council, who oversee the National Speedway Stadium.
The matter is now in the hands of Manchester City Council’s legal department but the new management are actively seeking to secure signings to make up their team.
In addition, they have impressed British Speedway Chairman Keith Chapman and will become members of the British Speedway Promoters’ Association once the legal formalities are completed at council level.
Said Chapman: “They are good people and I feel certain they will be good for the sport.
“It’s frustrating for the fans because of the long wait in making an announcement but it’s all down to the legal issues. Hopefully the matter will be concluded in a matter of days.”
